Set your age and what you carry. The rules are the casino's own and Ontario's.

    What the door checksWhy
Age 19 or olderOntario law keeps anyone under 19 out of a gaming site; staff at work are the only exception.
Valid government-issued photo IDEvery guest shows one at the door.
A second piece of ID with your nameAsked of guests aged 21 or younger, on top of the photo ID.
Not trespassed or self-excludedA ban from this casino, or from any Ontario gaming property, keeps a person out.
Bringing a support personA support person comes in with a guest who has a disability; the age rule still applies to them.
Bringing a service animalGuide dogs and service animals may go into the areas open to the public.

Ontario law sets the entry age at 19. Nobody younger is allowed into a gaming site, or allowed to stay in one, unless they work there, under the Gaming Control Act, 1992. Every guest must also show valid government-issued photo ID. Guests aged 21 or younger carry a second piece of identification too, one with their name on it.

Age and ID are not always enough. A person who is trespassed, meaning banned by a property, may not visit. Neither may someone who is self-excluded, meaning they asked to be kept out. Both rules apply whether the ban covers this casino or any gaming property in Ontario.

How do you reach the casino?

By car, take Highway 400 to exit 85, Innisfil Beach Road, also called County Road 21. The exit signs name Innisfil, Thornton and Alcona. In a straight line, the exit sits 0.4 km from the casino. Parking on site costs nothing.

Without a car, there is Innisfil Transit, the town's on-demand ride service, which comes when you book it. You book it in the Uber app. The town subsidizes trips anywhere inside Innisfil, and to or from the Barrie South GO and Bradford GO stations. Fares are set by the town, and this guide does not quote them.

Each of the two kitchens follows its own schedule, listed in the panel below. Simulcast racing, which means races broadcast from other tracks, starts at 12 PM; no closing hour is published.

Holiday hours are not published either. To ask about them, call the casino at 705-726-6770 or check the casino's own website.

The floor also offers 22 live table games, each with a dealer. Among them are Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat and Spanish 21, and players wanting higher stakes should ask the table games management.

Quartz eTables are open 24/7 with Roulette, Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat and Sic Bo, among other games. The casino pages show no poker room, bingo or keno. Names like Three Card Poker and Mississippi Stud Poker belong to table games, not to a poker room.

Where can visitors get something to eat?

Two places serve food. The Getaway Restaurant is the sit-down choice for a snack, a lunch or a dinner. It is open 11 AM to 10 PM Sunday to Thursday, and 11 AM to midnight Friday and Saturday. The Getaway Express is the quick-service counter. It opens at 11 AM Monday to Friday and 9 AM on Saturday and Sunday, then closes at 2 AM.

Coffee, tea and fountain pop cost nothing. They are the only complimentary drinks, and none of them contain alcohol.

What about money and the players card?

Gateway Casinos Innisfil has bank machines, called ABMs, on site, and it also offers currency exchange. My Club Rewards is the casino's players card, a card that records your play. The card costs nothing. To get one, show valid ID at the Guest Services desk. Points then build up at slot machines and at table games.

As general advice, not a fact about this casino: every casino game has a house edge. That means players as a group lose more than they win over time. A spending limit picked at home is easier to keep than one picked on the floor.

What is the racetrack next door?

Georgian Downs is the harness racetrack that shares an address with the casino. It opened in November 2001 and is run by Great Canadian Entertainment, not by the casino's operator.

Live harness racing, in which horses pull a driver seated in a light cart, is held during June, July and August. At 12 PM every day, simulcast racing opens, showing races from other tracks on screens. Great Canadian's Georgian Downs page at greatcanadian.com lists the race dates. The track can be reached on its own phone line, 705-726-9400.

Can you play casino games online at home?

Regulated online casino play in Ontario is for people 19 and older. Bets count only while you are physically inside Ontario, even if the account was opened elsewhere.

Private online casinos are legal only under two conditions. The AGCO, the regulator, must register them, and they need an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario (iGO). The official list of those sites is the iGO directory at igamingontario.ca. OLG.ca is the province's own online casino, run through OLG. This guide's online page has more on these rules.
