How old do you need to be?
Ontario law sets the line at 19. Under the Gaming Control Act, 1992, nobody younger than 19 may enter a gaming site or stay in one. The one exception is a person who works there. The casino follows the same rule, so every guest must be 19 or older to get past the entrance.
That same age of 19 also applies to online casino play anywhere in the province.
What ID should you carry?
Every guest needs valid government-issued photo ID and has to show it to get in. Being 19 is not enough on its own, since the casino needs proof of age. Guests aged 21 or younger must carry a second piece of identification as well, and it has to show their name.
So a guest who is 21 or younger brings two cards. A guest older than 21 brings one, because the second card is asked only up to that age. Pack both before leaving home. Questions about a particular card can go to the casino at 705-726-6770.
Who cannot come in at all?
A person who has been trespassed or has self-excluded may not visit. That holds whether the ban came from this casino or from any other gaming property in Ontario.
My PlayBreak is OLG's self-exclusion program for land casinos. It lets a person choose to be kept out. A break of 3 or 6 months, or 1 to 5 years, covers every casino in Ontario for the whole term. Once it starts, the term cannot be changed.
Can you bring someone to help?
